SessionRemind helps photographers send SMS & email reminders for sessions to clients who book through Sessions. This policy explains exactly what we access, why, and how we protect it. The short version: we touch only what's needed to send a reminder — your client's name, phone, email, and session date and time — and we never mine, share, or sell your data.
What the SessionRemind Connector does
The Connector (a one-time bookmarklet you click while on Sessions) reads a single value — your Sessions access token — from your own already-logged-in Sessions session, and sends it to SessionRemind over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection so reminders can be scheduled on your behalf.
It never asks for, sees, transmits, or stores your Sessions username or password. It does not read your browsing history, your activity on other sites, or any page other than Sessions when you click Connect.
What we store
- Your account details (email, login) and SessionRemind settings (studio name, message templates, reminder timing).
- Your Sessions access token, encrypted at rest with AES-256. It is used only to read your upcoming bookings. You can delete it instantly by clicking Disconnect.
- The reminders we schedule and send, any replies your clients send back, and basic delivery status, so they appear on your dashboard.
What we access from Sessions — and what we don't
Using your token, we read only the fields a reminder needs from your upcoming sessions: the client's name, phone, and email, and the session title and time. Access is read-only — we never create, change, delete, or post anything in your Sessions account.
We do not build profiles of your clients, run analytics on your client list, or use your data to train anything. We never sell or share your client data with third parties.
Sending text messages
Reminders are delivered through our SMS providers (Twilio and TextMagic), which receive the recipient's phone number and the message text solely to deliver it. Reminder texts are plain text (emojis and special characters are removed) so each message stays a single, low-cost segment. Messages are sent from a shared SessionRemind toll-free number by default, or — for studios that set up their own dedicated number — from that number. Recipients can reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for assistance.
Clients can reply to reminder messages. The studio is notified by email and can also view and respond to replies from an in-app inbox; any reply they send goes out from the same texting number. You can track per-message delivery status on your dashboard. SessionRemind sends both SMS and email reminders.
SMS messaging program terms
Program description. SessionRemind sends appointment reminder text messages on behalf of the photographer you booked your session with. Messages include reminders about your upcoming session's date and time, and occasional related logistics. We do not send marketing or promotional text messages through this program.
How you opt in. You provide your mobile number to your photographer when you book a session through Sessions, and consent to receive reminder texts about that session. Consent to receive reminder texts is not a condition of any purchase.
Message frequency. Message frequency varies and depends on how many sessions you have booked — typically one to a few reminder messages per session.
Cost. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan. SessionRemind and your photographer do not charge you for reminder messages.
Opting out. You can opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message. You will receive a one-time confirmation and no further reminder texts. For help, reply HELP or email support@sessionremind.com.
We do not share your number. Mobile information — your phone number and the fact that you opted in to reminders — is used only to deliver these reminder messages. We do not sell, rent, or share mobile opt-in data or phone numbers with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing purposes.
Supported carriers may include AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon, and others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
Your control
Disconnect Sessions at any time from your dashboard — this deletes your stored access token immediately. You may request deletion of your account and associated data by contacting us.
